Halloween Decorations

Oct 4

We had a super fun Halloween – I love that this year Reagan said “mom stop with the spooky stuff” ha ha! I guess our floating witch hats and candles were taking it to the next level. What I loved was that it felt sophisticated spooky – decor that was in line with the vibe of our house but still fun for the girls to escape to imagination land in. At a recent client meeting they shared their trick for using fishing line to hang battery operated candlesticks to their chandelier at Halloween and I was instantly sold on this look! On the way home I had to stop at the local hardware store to pick some up and I couldn’t believe that our local grocery store was actually the winner for having battery operated taper candles – year round in their candle section! I had some fishing line already in my CBE kit and I whipped them up that evening and we all loved the spooky ambiance it created. So fun! The witches hats were hung with the same fishing line, I tied a knot to the top of the hat and then used 3M removable sticky hooks on the ceiling to tie the other end to. They were a really easy removal after halloween so I’m excited to use these for future years to come! I always try and do some fun after school snack once during the season and this time the simplicity of plastic vampire teeth stuck into store bought donuts was the clear winner.
